The education system in Austria today is among the best and most accessible in the world and has a strong reputation for business learning. Its capital Vienna was for centuries a hub of central European intellectual, artistic and cultural exchange – and the workplace of the likes of Mozart, Strauss, Klimt and Freud. Today Vienna is ranked #1 in the world for quality of life by The Economist Intelligence Unit and the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2010 rates Austria among the top ten countries in terms of quality academic systems, besting the United Kingdom, France, Japan, and Germany. The Institute of International Education also ranks Austria as the 18th most visited study abroad destination for American students. Among the best universities in Austria include the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology, the University of Innsbruck, and the Karl-Franzens-University Graz.
