If you have not heard already, at RateMyStudyAbroad we are in week 3 of our first ever review contest entitled: Students Speak Out. At RateMyStudyAbroad we wanted to show appreciation for the great reviews students contribute to our site daily.
The way it works is, any student who enters a review between October 1 and December 9 is automatically entered into a drawing. On December 10, we will have a random drawing in which two students will be contacted via email. The first name drawn will receive a new, 2012 Macbook Air (11 inch) and the second name drawn will receive a new Eagle Creek backpacking bag. On December 14, we will announce these winners via our social media outlets.
For the contest, we have hired a local video crew in Fort Collins, CO to create a ten video web series of funny, but true study abroad experiences highlighting the importance of reviews. Each episode will be published weekly on our homepage, as well as social media outlets.
We hope to encourage more study abroad participants to write reviews about their experiences and let them know that we value their reviews. We also hope that universities and providers will see this as an opportunity to reach out to alumni in order to collect reviews from past programs.
