I am extremely disappointed with the lack of activities my group and I participated in. Also, lack of communication was a huge issue with my "academic advisor". Overall, in comparison to other various programs CIS lacked significant study abroad essentials Read more
Living in the village was a great way to learn about the Australian culture as well meeting more Aussies. While in classes it was more difficult to meet people and get to know them further. The greatest amount of people I met was through the Village and neighbors or friends of friends. This was a great way to meet new people from America as well as all over the world. I enjoyed my time at the village and would recommend other students studying ab... Read more
Overall, I thought the whole program in Sydney was poorly planned and the description of it was not accurate at all. We were placed in awful accommodation where even internet was not given to us or were not pointed in any direction in installing it. Where asn, every other program we met was given internet with their package. There was also no meal plan which my roommates and I found to have created many more expenses. Read more
I loved everything that the University itself did, however I thought that the information provided by CIS and the support whilst in the country was sub-par. Read more
It was great being able to enrich in the cultural perspective of Sydney and enjoy the many highlights Australia had to offer. However, I wish I could have lived in Sydney instead of suburb 40 minutes away. There were a lot of hidden costs that I did not expect. Overall, I loved this experience minus the lack of organization/ communication from staff. Read more
