Time of My Life
Studying abroad in London was by far the greatest experience of my life. It is an amazing city with so much to do. Not only do you get to take classes and learn things from a new perspective, but you get to see the culture of the U.K. and explore the city of London. I have met so many people from all over the world in my classes and around the city. Traveling around Europe throughout the semester was also a highlight. I got to travel to so many countries and I never thought I would ever get to do that. This experience is one that I will never forget and I am so happy I decided to study in London. I advise anyone to do so in the future. You will not regret it!
Classes weren't too difficult and I learned a lot of things that I would never learn in the U.S. so I think it was a good experience to learn things from a different perspective.
I loved the location of my housing and living with people from different countries. It made the experience a lot better.
I loved being able to meet people not only just from the U.K., but all of the other students studying abroad from the U.S. and various other countries around the world.
London is overall a very safe city and rarely did I ever feel unsafe.
Personally, I did not really enjoy the British food overall, but that might just be me.
Social life in London is amazing and there is always something to do and people around to do it with.
I went to health services a couple of times and they were extremely nice and it is really easy to make an appointment.
In London, you definitely have to see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, take a walk down the Thames River, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Abbey Road, any walking tours, the London Dungeons, the London Zoo, Regent's Park, and so much more. London is the greatest city and there are endless things to do. I can't even think of everything!

Studying abroad was fantastic. The housing was shitty but the classes were invigorating. Met great people and some assholes. Only dealt with the program when we went on the day trips, which was was like twice the whole time.

This has by far been the best few months of my life. It has been wild, but i have learned a ton. London is the best study abroad program that I have heard about. You spend the most time here than any other program. You may think that its too long, but its never long enough. It goes by way too fast. The people are amazing and you learn about others as well as yourself. I wish that everyone could of had this amazing experience. I strongly encourage anyone to do this if they have the change. Best time of my life. You only live once, so why not come to London?

This program was great for being able to live in the city of London while living as a student. University housing was in a great location which made the city really accessible.

The CIS semester study abroad program was a deal.
PROS: It is the cheapest program out there, and it does get you over to London, so if that's what you want go for it! The price is the real deal. The staff are very knowledgeable and super nice when preparing you to leave the country. They will answer as many questions as you have.
CONS: CIS is a price player, which means that they cut out the frills and extras. There are 2 day trips that come with the program, but that's it. While most other companies give out multiple day trips, overnight trips, and program bonding dates, CIS does not. It's not to say that's bad, if you want to come to London and do your own thing, bully for you, but for the people who want to get to know others in their program, then it's a bit bad.
Overall I would recommend CIS to people for the price, but put in a caveat that if they want to have more group day trips and overnight trips to splurge the extra money for another program.

I do not recommend this program. They were disorganized, not helpful, and lacked communicating with the students. I did not feel that I had someone to turn to while abroad if I had a problem or question. We were told we would do both walking tours and 2 weekend excursions included in the cost of the program, and the weekend trips were cancelled without notice and replaced with other, FREE, walking tours. Very disappointed in this program.

The University of Westminster offered many courses that helped you immerse yourself with new cultures. The courses not only helped me grow academically but also it helped me gain better understanding of the world around me. Throughout my experience I have developed friendships that will last a lifetime and can take away an experience that has changed my life.

The program had a few mishaps dealing with flight scheduling, getting in contact, and reliability. Everything eventually worked itself out but it would have made going into the study abroad experience a lot simpler had it been more organized. The programs involvement in my experience progressively became less and less as the semester went on. I found that the reason why I enjoyed my study abroad experience as much as I did was because of the things I found on my own or with friends while exploring the city. The school was a little difficult to become assimilated into because of a strong distinction between exchange student classes and master courses with people who are in all of the same classes together. It was difficult to make local friends because of this. The UK grading system was never fully explained either which made it difficult to understand how coursework and assignments were handled.

I really lived my semester abroad. It was an amazing experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I made great friends and really felt as if I was a part of the London dynamic. CIS helps you as much as they can with any questions or comments. I only wish that they had made it clear that I if you take certain classes, you will not be placed in a London campus, rather a suburb of London. This was very disappointing to arrive in London and not get to actually love there. Other than that, great program.
