Admire the innovative construction of Notre Dame, sit and read in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, and practice your French by ordering a morning baguette on your way to class. CISabroad Summer in Paris is well-recognized for its training of art experts and professionals and managers in cultural administration. Start getting excited about:
* Paris - What can we say? Fountains, fashion, cafes, croissants... Paris has something for everyone, but especially art-lovers and budding artists!
* Art and French in the City of Light - What better way to improve both your French-language and fine-arts skills than spending 4 weeks in Paris?
* Learning in and out of the classroom - A great part of Summer in Paris is learning both in and out of the classroom. You won't just read about a painting in class, you'll go see it in person and really understand the artist's perspective.
* Living with fellow students in great local apartments - Live in the heart of it all in cool, furnished apartments and get to know the other CISabroad students from all over the US.
* Two excursions included - Just in case living in Paris isn't enough for the summer, we're also including 2 excursions, one to Versailles and one to Brussels. Less
The Summer in Paris program through CIS was one of the best experiences of my life. The teachers are great and they want you to have a good time. The classes were so much fun. Housing could have been a little better as the roommates weren't matched well and all of us lived all around Paris, but the apartments were ni... Read more
I would recommend this program to anyone interested in art, even if you aren't an art major. Any study abroad program in fact, it was a great experience that taught me a lot about my self and how i interact with different cultures. I had a blast, and the city is beautiful! so much history, and you see it just walking down the street. Read more
This has been a great experience for me, being able to stay in Paris for a whole month was an adventure. I was able to make new friends and hang out all together. Even though I felt like I didn't get anything out of the french class the painting class made up for it. I've never painted before and this class was beyond amazing, we visited so many beautiful gardens, parks and historical places and were able to choose what we wanted to paint. The te... Read more
This is a great program to get your feet wet. You get wonderful exposure to Parisian living without feeling overwhelmed. Minimial French is needed. How often can you say you took an art history class that met in the Louvre? or Musee D'Orsay? Read more
