I studied abroad in London with CIS in the Spring of 2013 at the University of Roehampton. I was of course very nervous to live in another country for several months away from everything that I knew and was comfortable with, but this is why I went and was itching to go. The 3+ months that I was in London flew by faster than anything I had ever experienced, and everyday was memorable. I traveled almost every weekend to a new country throughout Eur... Read more
My journey abroad with CIS has been absolutely incredible and life changing. I was able to explore a new country, continent, and most important, explore who I wanted to be as an individual. The people were friendly and welcoming, making the departure so difficult to fathom. This opportunity has lead me to begin my plans for a permanent move to London. I was so satisfied with every aspect, even though it had its ups and downs-- it only made me gro... Read more
You sign up witht his program and get lied to! I was promised excursions and there were basically none offered. I was shipped off campus on my university which costs the students less money than being on campus yet I am paying the same amount as other international students that got put on campus. Horrible experience! Read more
I have to say I was disappointed in CIS. Starting from when I arrived in the airport, I couldn't find anyone with a CIS tshirt or logo who would show me to where I was supposed to be even though I was in the correct terminal. Also, when describing on the website the things that we did as "excursions" is the complete wrong description. We went to markets that were extremely easy to find on your own. Not only that, when you say the word "excursion"... Read more
I think I made the mistake of setting my expectations much too high when I considered studying in London. I thought I would look out my window and see Big Ben, and the bustling streets of Covent Garden or Piccadilly Circus. It was not nearly what I thought it was going to be. I needed a lot of time to adjust my mindset and once I did, I was alright and was able to enjoy most of my time here. Some of the excursions through CIS were alright, bu... Read more

My semester in London at the university of roehampton was so great. If you want a less demanding class schedule and want to studying abroad. This is a great place because you do not have to learn a new language. Oh and my flat mates LOVED learning about the US because they had never been.

I'm glad I chose to study abroad with CIS in London. They offer some excellent excursions during the semester, and most of all, the on-campus representative was friendly and helpful in keeping us updated by posting activities and interesting events on facebook. Overall, they made the transition to a new culture easier. Thank you CIS. Read more
