A review on Davidson in Peru

Perfect cultural program
From the traveling to the home stays the program thought about just everything. The traveling takes place before and after the program with trips within the semester, including an all expense payed trip to Bolivia and a four day hike of the Inca trail. I mean all the trips are optional but lets be real who wouldn't take advantage of all those opportunities.

What a great program! I arrived to Peru without any prior Spanish or Latin America study, and I absolutely had a wonderful time learning. The program, led by Dr. Crandall and Kristy Marynak, was very well structured. I never felt isolated or helpless; they were always willing to listen and help.
One thing that makes the program so strong is the traveling. Our group visited several cities and all three regions of Peru. I believe that by going and seeing, we were able to gain a broader view of Peru.
The program also offers a strong academic component. Dr. Crandall's course, "The Latin American Novel," was always a welcome time during the week. It was a time to examine the culture in which we were living from an academic view. A great addition to the program.
