intimate living situation
Great experience of Rome from a Classical perspective. Intimate living situation (35 people in one building), great staff and professors. I would have liked more interaction with Italian people and a bit more down time for independent travel.

This is a great program if you're interested in classics, but it is very academically demanding and doesn't leave a lot of free time for chilling out or getting to know Italians. Permanent administrators at the Centro (Franco, Pina) are amazing, as were the professors, but the professors change every year so they vary.

Fantastic in situ experience, which is irreplaceable, and junior year is a great time to go abroad. The academic rigor is considerably higher than most study abroad programs, without being boring/dry, because you travel considerably and are on site all the time.

Very good for classics or humanities majors, I really couldn't recommend it to anyone else.
