In regard to "cultural exposure", my program was structured as a choral program, so the cultural elements to which we were exposed were highly specific. We sang with several local choirs; traveled and performed in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Eastern Germany; and depending on our hosts were exposed to various styles and aspects of Viennese life.
