Students take part in a supervised field study in which they become active participants in community organizations on both sides of the border. Cultural excursions are made to important historical and cultural sites and areas of natural beauty, which may include Hueco Tanks State Historical Park, Carlsbad Caverns, the Guadalupe Mountains, Chihuahua City and Copper Canyon, White Sands, and sites along the border including Tucson and Nogales. Students live with families either in El Paso or Ciudad Juarez which allows them to experience and participate in daily life on the border. Less
