Lend your skills as a volunteer to help children from economically challenged backgrounds by caring for them in this daycare setting. With its breathtaking natural beauty and the wildlife that will leave you awestruck, South Africa is rich in culture, adventure, and its diversity, and you will be allowed the chance to experience this first hand when you become a volunteer. Whether you explore the national parks with the Big Five animals, relax at the beaches and watch whales, participate in some of the adventure sports, or help in a community, your trip to South Africa will be memorable!
African Angels is a project that provides children from poor rural areas a place to learn and play. The project's goal and philosophy is to help provide continuous and quality education to these significantly disadvantaged rural children and effect positive and lasting change. Currently the children are between 2 and 6 years old.
Volunteers in this project will have the opportunity to work within the children's class between 8 am and 12:30 pm. Then volunteers can extend their time in the school until 5 pm by helping with the hot lunch and engaging in supervised free play. Participants will spend the first week participating in an orientation to help develop their understanding of the new, and at times, challenging, environment they will be in. During this week, the program will including learning from specialists in a variety of fields and taking interactive excursions.
Volunteer activities at the project may include:

* Assisting with daily tasks
