My First Abroad Experience

I was very young and not very knowledgable about volunteering abroad when I decided I wanted to spend six months in South America. In my planning for my trip I must have sent hundreds of e-mails. Many of them went to Geovisions, with whom I worked for the first half of my trip. The people there were thrilled to answer my endless questions and discuss concerns, even suggest ideas. My trip was tailored to fit my needs and goals. This was perhaps the most striking thing about GeoVisions. Three months later, I ended up in Lima, Peru and then Quito, Ecuador. Both were amazing experiences and I was grateful for all the support GeoVisions gave me in planning and during my stay. It was truly a successful experience!
