LSE offers an awesome program in Economics. You get to learn materials from top universities and also experience British culture while living in the City of London. I highly recommend this program.

A great way to take classes in a short time period. Dates are accessible, classes are interesting, and it is easy to get into the program. London kicks ass!

The London School of Economics and Political Science: The General Course good administration, well run

The program runs well for a study abroad experience at a university. There was a good orientation events and tours. There was a lot of free time to explore the city; it was generally very independent and hands-off. Library was great, some facilities like computers were limited. Oration was great.

I went to this program a few years ago and had a great experience. The classes run most of the day, and generally center around a project. Working in a group with people from many different countries was a little tough at times, but I feel that I benefited from the trip. Also, LSE gives you a lot of freedom. Many people went away on trips each weekend, which was great, but I would definitely recommend sticking around London. As everyone says: be prepared to spend a lot of money. A beer is going to run you about 5 pounds which can be $10, and that adds up fast. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to spend a few weeks of the summer getting a credit and having a great time.

The London School of Economics and Political Science: The General Course not worth the money! average quality of teaching+p

London as a city has a lot to offer - true that. LSE within Europe has a pretty good reputation, so I decided to pursue a summer law course there. But I was so disappointed, overall. First, London is not a safe city. Beware. I lived in Islington at an LSE Hall (Middleton), and got mugged very stupidly right in front of the Hall. Not because I was obnoxious or loud but because I got followed by some guy who then yanked my entire purse from my hand. I somehow made it back to the Hall, and the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, reluctant to issue me a new key, not caring whether I was in shock or whatever.

One of the professor teaching my course was excellent, but the other 2 were boring and poor, unengaging lecturers.

Party atmosphere was good, but London is very expensive, if you wanna go to a nice club and have a solid night out.

Overall, very disappointing. My undergraduate academic quality in the U.S. was significantly better. Invest that money into a better summer course, please.
