Certainly a life altering experience and adventure for me. Living in Japan taught me so much about a culture that was so foreign to me.. Not only did I have fun and meet new friends, but I also was submerged in an amazing culture that allowed me to grow and mature like never before in my life. The IES program Nagoya can be anything you want it to be. I liked to party, but only on the weekends, and Nagoya was a great place for people like me. I lived in a homestay where no English was spoken, so I definintely improved my casual Japanese. My only "complaint" was that you spend so much time with other IES and CJS (exchange) students, that unless you push the bubble, it will be difficult to meet Japanese students.
