Launched in 2009, the Rome Art Program is designed to inspire students to expand their artistic vision through painting and drawing on the streets of Rome; expanding on the plein-air tradition of earlier generations of artists.
The Program is incorporated as a U.S. non-profit educational organization and is directed by Carole Robb, Head of Atelier (Painting) at the New York Studio School. A winner of the Rome Prize in Painting (1980), a Fulbright Scholar, and member of the National Academy, Ms. Robb has worked and exhibited in Rome, London, and New York.
