In Turin (Torino in Italian), SAI offers a program of study at Torino Study Abroad (TorinoSA). The mission of TorinoSA is to incorporate the history, culture, science, law, business and technology of modern Italy into an academic program of excellence.
TorinoSA courses are taught in English by American-trained PhD professors who possess a passion for teaching and robust research. Much of their individual research expertise is reflected in professional publications.
The school takes full advantage of its location, history and future prospects using the natural, industrial, historical, cultural, social and economic resources that the stunning city of Torino offers. Torino is not only recognized as a forward-thinking city second to none in lifestyle and trendsetting (the ‘Slow Food’ movement was born here), it is also a Baroque capital, treasuring significant Roman vestiges and a wealth of Savoy royal palaces with surrounding grounds.
TorinoSA offers students the opportunity to experience modern Italian life, while enrolling in courses about Roman, Renaissance, and Baroque topics as well as contemporary Italian society. At TorinoSA students can study Italian language, film and culture, examine global environmental and legal issues, contemporary art and modern design, explore areas of science, or study music in a vibrant city with historic musical roots.
TorinoSA transcripts are issued by its partner, International University College of Turin, which is authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR). Students may also choose to receive a US transcript through SAI’s US partner university, Fairfield University, in Connecticut.
