business school. The Arnhem Business School’s Faculty of Economics forms part of the university of Professional Education known as Hogeschool van Arnehm en Nijmegen. The Business School not only has a tradition of hosting many international students every year, but requires that its own students spend one year abroad at a partner institution. This emphasis on international education makes for a welcoming environment for foreign students as well as an eclectic mix of influences on the academic program, and the demographic make up of the city and the school.
Although courses are taught in English, Arnhem provides an intensive
introductory Dutch program which many international students find very useful in facilitating their adjustment to Dutch society. In addition, international students are offered a mentor through the student organization called Focus.
The course in international business at Arnhem is designed to prepare students for middle and higher management positions in the fields of international marketing, sales, and purchasing. The international business program highly values the characteristics of flexibility, inventiveness, and creativity. Less
