I studied abroad Spring 2013 and absolutely loved it! This experience has changed my life for the better. I found the SOL staff to be so helpful before and during my trip. SOL is definitely worth its money - we went on so many great adventures, from white water rafting, to ziplining, to visiting Granada, Nicaragua. Costa Rica is a 10 out 10, 5 Star, #1 ranked country of my experience. I can't wait to return! The culture is very diverse and interesting. I love that Ticos are concerned about the environment and do their best to preserve it. There is so much to learn about the people here. From the moment I arrived in Costa Rica I could tell that I was at home! The Sol staff, the Universidad Latina (where the participants study), the host families, and the overall experiences in Heredia, Costa Rica, cannot be found anywhere else. Not only did we visit the most well-known places in Costa Rica on very organized excursions, but we also got to experience the culture of the country in the most authentic ways. I went to Granada, beautiful town in the heart of hot Andalucia! The school was strong, classes were everyday, very intensive courses in Spanish, from almost no spanish in the beginning I came to level of short conversations with locals at the end of the month.
