The Stone Center for Latin American Studies invites students interested in Portuguese language and Brazilian studies to participate in a summer program in Brazil during the summer of 2013.
Setting Description: Sao Paulo, the largest metropolis in Latin America, is an exciting center for fine arts, theater, music and cultural life. This city is a medley of Brazilians from all the country's 26 states and from multiple ethnic groups (Japanese, Italian, Jewish, Syrian and Lebanese, etc.) which makes for an exciting mix of traditions and fabulous food on every street. Plunge into the vibrant entertainment scene and explore an extraordinary nightlife. When tired of the fast pace of Sao Paulo, head to the beaches which are just a couple of hours away.
