This trip was a mix of language study and volunteering. In the mornings, we would spend 2 hrs studying Spanish at San Blas Spanish school in central Cusco. We would then break and spend the afternoon at a Kids Club afterschool program in a distant neighborhood, also run by the San Blas Spanish school.
San Blas Spanish School is a great organization with excellent instructors who are flexible and good at instructing.

I went to Cusco, Peru through United Planet for eight weeks after I graduated college. I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. I think traveling will always be my favorite thing to do, but I also think a program can either hinder or enhance your experience.
