got malaria, still loved it
Everything was great, except the administration, which was slow (everything in Africa is slow, though).
A little unsafe, and I got malaria. Be careful with travelling around to other countries.
Great exposure to locals and culture, and I met a lot of international kids.

I loved my experience there, though sometimes being an American study abroad student at such a large university was a little frustrating. However, it is all what you make of it, and the International office is so helpful. The city is gorgeous, the people are fun, and I traveled and volunteered a lot. This was the best decision I've made in college - you can't possibly go wrong with studying abroad in Cape Town.

A great break from Princeton!
We had so much free time to explore an incredible city. A good study abroad program.
