For those who want to see the city at a more leisurely pace, Guadalajara has many wonderful tree-lined avenues, parks, and plazas. It has produced a number of familiar Mexican icons such as mariachi music and tequila. Because of Guadalajara's economic importance, Idaho keeps a permanent trade office there. Since it lies at the junction where the north meets the south of Mexico, it is a cultural mecca with numerous museums, craft markets, artists, dancers, and musicians.
Recreational Activities - There are a number of clubs that students can join on campus, including karate, folk dancing, soccer, cooking, football, and tennis.
