Furthermore, students take Spanish language classes over the eight week period. Additional program activities include: optional dance lessons, santiago and san juan tours, beach excursions, a week long mountain get-a-way, cloud forest hikes, campo visits, cave exploring and more. Also, important to know- housing is with a local family... expect them to be friendly, fun, and interested in you. Everyone on the program will have their own room and all students are within a mile of each other. The classroom is actually a riverside "bungalow" with a room and floor but no walls or electricity. The program is open to undergraduates at all US universities, however it is focused towards students attending Big 10 Schools.
