I didn't speak Italian at all at that point, had never expressed any interest in Italy as a country, and basically had no inclination to do so. While all programs have highs and lows, CET allowed me to have "the time of my life" as usually said about studying abroad. Siena was a great place to study and provided many opportunities for cultural immersion; in particular the Palio! The administration was helpful and provided just enough orientation that we felt comfortable, but not enough that we couldn't explore on our own.
