World Internships set up the most amazing internship for me. They went out of their way to find me an acupuncture/chinese medicine office, that also practiced other forms of holistic medicine. The internship was so much more than I could ever have asked for, and it was perfectly located near my host family. I was impressed how they catered the program to fit to my expectations and requirements. Read more
I spent a few weeks in Quito, and then a month in Tena. They were extremely different places, but both amazing experiences. They both provided a good feel for how diverse Ecuador is. I would suggest that if you visit Ecuador, try to plan trips to all the different regions while you're there. Working abroad was a great experience, but just being emerged in a foreign culture is hands down the greatest experience. It will be difficult to leave your ... Read more
Quito was a fantastic place to study. It is so culturaly dense, I hope anyone interested in South American culture takes advantage of all Quito has to offer. It is an interesting city that attracts a dizzying number of people from many backgrounds, and is the perfect place to live to access the rest of Ecuador.
